National Championships 2014

Hillingdon SC enjoyed another successful National Championships at both Age Group and Youth. Particular mention goes to Chiara Boni, Jemima Hall, Mitchell Adams, Conor Fallon and Jamie Fryer who swam at their first Nationals.

Jemima Hall achieved six top 10 placings during the meet, including a bronze medal (12yrs 200 Free). Loulou Vos (14yrs) and Rohan Vazirani (12yrs) won bronze medals in the Open Water events on the sixth straight day of competition showing true mental strength.

The stand out Female/Male performances across all 12 days of competition were Alex Kaye 200 IM (2.16.49) and Leon Berchie 100 Fly (55.76).

From the 10 relay teams we had qualified, our best team performance was the Age Group girls 4x100 Free (Brodie Judge, Lou Lou Vos,Amy Grimshaw, and Jemima Hall)

Hillingdon SC is also home to four 2014 British National Champions!

Alex Kaye (17/18yrs 200 IM), George Taplin (14yrs 400 Free), Alfie Collins (13yrs 1500 Fre) and Brodie Judge (12yrs 100 Free + Fly, 200 Free) all won National Titles and played their part in a fantastic team performance through the 12 days.

To summarise the overall performance of the team:

Age Group Championships :

    3 First-Time Qualifiers
    6 Relays Qualified
    30 Top 10 Places and 3rd Top Club

6 Medallists (5 Gold, 1 Silver, 6 Bronze)

Youth Championships :

    1 First-Time Qualifier
    4 Relays Qualified
    4 Top 10 Places and 36th Top Club
    1 Medallist (1 Gold and 1 Silver)
