Last weekend saw Hillingdon attend the London Region Winter Championships. Normally short course - this year, due to the Commonwealth Games in Austrialia, it was changed to Long Course, which provided a huge challenge for swimmers so early in the season.

The team had 37 swimmers (the 2nd biggest team in the Region), with 147 entries (the 3rd biggest in the Region).  This was a massive improvement from last year, and a major positive for the club, before the meet even started with swimmers getting exposed to a high level of Long Course Swimming.

Overall, there were 3 Regional Champions, with 11 Medals (3x Gold, 2x Silver, 6x Bronze), along with 39 Finalists.

A really good and positive outing for the team. Next up Arena Round 2 and a busy November for swimmers racing across various meets. Good luck and well done!!!

The National Arena League kicked off again for the 1st time this season last weekend, with Team Green drawing a tough 1st round in the Harlow Leisure Zone with last year's Fellow Finalists Ealing.

The team came 4th overall with some swimmers missing and so early in the season, the team will only get faster for Rounds 2 and Rounds 3. A major positive was that the standard and level of our skills compared to other Clubs was outstanding so well done swimmers and coaches, keep up the good work!

Basildon & Phoenix - 276
Hillingdon - 248

A huge congratulations to all swimmers following Sundays Main Club Champs. You all swam brilliantly.
The results are available to view and download on the results section of the website.  As promised the DQ codes are included in the report, so this will help those swimmers to understand what their infringement was.
We would also like to thank every volunteer who helped make it a success. Without your help, the club would not be able to host these type of club champs, and the swimmers would miss out. It was lovely to see so many happy children and parents encouraging from the balcony.

The racing season kicked off this weekend with swimmers from the Elite squads racing at the Luton Level 3 Autumn Meet.

The swimmers were fantastic, performing not only in the pool, but outside of it as a team as well. There were some amazing skills, some great PB's, and at this time of the year where they are certainly not at the fittest, they performed fantastically well.

A big thanks to Gary for being on poolside all weekend, and to all the officials that helped out over the weekend.

Great start to the season!

After the results at the British and English Summer Nationals - HSC had 4 swimmers selected for the Phase 1 Camp (Dillon Chana, Cara O'Toole, Niamh Barber and Amirah Otulana).

This weekend saw the 1st weekend of 3, where they went to work with swimmers across the London Region on skills and and the Swim England Talent Coaching Team.   The feedback from the other Skills coaches was fantastic and they were a credit to Club. Engaging not only in the pool but also outside. We hope they continue to develop within the Programme during Weekends 2 and 3.

It is also to be noted that Holiday Swimmer Aarian Lally was also selected before his move to Dubai. As well as our Assistant Head Coach, Matt Williams, being selected as a skills coach.

6 Representatives from the Club for is a great achievement - Well Done All!

Well done to Elite 3 Swimmers Kayla Van Zyl, Rohan Phillips, Diana Bernatskaya and Malika De Alwis who were selected to attend the Middlesex County Development Camp.

The Development Camp is aimed at 10/11 year olds across the County and is the first ladder on the Swim England Pathway. It is an honor and a fantastic achievement.  Many swimmers now representing the Club at National level, attended this camp a few years ago.

We are sure that they learnt a lot and and enjoyed the day - our coaches only got positive feedback from the County.

Well done all!

Elite 2 swimmer Macy Willis took part in the MacMillan All Out Swim which was 5k. All proceeds she raised went to help people suffering with Cancer.

In her own words "I am proud of myself as I thought I would not finish, only to get out and realise I finished 1st overall, which was amazing"

Macy swim a time of 01.12.29 and came 1st out of all the swimmers entering, but more importantly, she raised over £475 for MacMillan.

Macy added "Throughout the swim I thought about all the people who have passed away from cancer, including close family members and knowing that I'm doing my bit to help people currently suffering from this terrible illness really helped"

Team Green is proud. Maybe next year more HIllingdon swimmers can join you and raise even more money! @teammacmillan #teammacmillan #alloutswim

Well done Macy!
